Licensed Clinical Social Workers?
dilila_may asked:
If i am a school counselor, how long will it take me to become a LCSW? What classes would I need to take? Is this smart or should I go for my LPC?

One Response to “Licensed Clinical Social Workers?”
You would either need your Master’s degree in Social Work to start the licensure process for an LCSW and and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling for an LPC. Usually the program to obtain your master’s is about a year and a half and then it can easily take 2-4 years to obtain licensure because most states require 3-5000 clinical hours under a licensed social worker or counselor.
